Please join us to welcome Jacki Dickert and her exhibit “Rust: Alchemy and Imagination” to the library’s gallery. Light refreshments will be served.
About the Exhibit:
Metuchen-based photographer Jacki Dickert finds herself returning again and again to the world of oxidation. “Rust: Alchemy and Imagination” on display at the Gallery at the Metuchen Library May 2 – June 25, 2025, features abstract studies of discarded metal transformed by time and the elements. Dickert’s photographs explore the rich colors, textures and patterns that form on iron and steel left to rust. The interpretation of each image is left up to the viewer. Come decide for yourself if the hidden landscapes, howling beasts and descent of Icarus that emerge from these images are by design or if it isn’t a touch of alchemy.
