About the Exhibit – On Display June 28 – August 27:
The Gallery at the Metuchen Library invites you to see your junk justified, your garbage glamorized and your trash transformed in our newest installation “Repurposed Reimaginings.” Metuchen’s very own Julia Virginia Win (JVW Creates) is a self-taught reuse artist and educator. Winner of the 2023 Middlesex County Mural Design Contest, Julia has completed several local public art installations and murals all from discarded materials. Julia holds a Master of Education degree from UCSB, a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Montclair State University, works as a preschool teacher and enjoys teaching ArtCycle classes to all ages. We promise you’ll never look at a bread tab the same way again!
Accessibility: Our library is committed to inclusivity and accessibility. Our building is wheelchair-accessible with a modern elevator and accessible restrooms. We’ve installed hearing loops in our Community Room, and we offer T-coil receiver/headphone kits for in-library use by those with hearing loss. If you need specific accommodations, such as sign language interpretation, for any of our services, events, or activities, whether on-site or online, please reach out to us at (732) 632-8526 or email info@metuchenlibrary.org. We’re here to ensure everyone can fully enjoy their library experience.
