Book Friends July Session 2
Event Details
Join us for Book Friends! This program pairs emerging readers in the 1st or 2nd grade with older teens in grades 8 through 12, who have been trained to help with reading comprehension and other skills. Pairs or groups will read together from our chosen book, then all do a themed craft as a group! Every reader will be given a copy of our chosen book to keep, and to continue reading at home! We meet upstairs in the children’s room!
Book Friends has two meetings per session, and there are two sessions over the summer! In our July session, we’ll be reading a fiction book: A to Z Mysteries: Cougar Clues. In our August session, we’ll be reading a graphic novel: Owly: Tiny Tales. The July dates are the 11th and the 18th, and the August dates are the 1st and the 8th. Always from 1:00 to 2:30!
