Community Conversation: Middle & High School Students
Event Details
Metuchen Public Library is thinking about its future. We are looking for people in the community who are willing to spend 60-90 minutes thinking about ways we could improve library services. The library will hold three focused Community Conversations, facilitated by consultants from Library Development Solutions. All three will be held in a hybrid format, so you may attend virtually or in-person at the library. Light refreshments will be served (if attending in-person), and all participants will have the opportunity to win a $25 gift card to a local business of their choice.
This Community Conversation is open to Middle School & High School Students. Space is limited. Registration is required.
The three Community Conversations will be broken down into three demographic groups:
Parents and Caregivers of children ages 0-10
Thursday, February 6
7-8:30pm
Seniors (ages 65 & up)
Tuesday, February 11
10:30am-Noon
Middle School & High School Students
Tuesday, February 13
6:30-8:00pm
There will also be a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, February 26 at 6:30pm that is open to all.
Accessibility: Our library is committed to inclusivity and accessibility. Our building is wheelchair-accessible with a modern elevator and accessible restrooms. We’ve installed hearing loops in our Community Room, and we offer T-coil receiver/headphone kits for in-library use by those with hearing loss. If you need specific accommodations, such as sign language interpretation, for any of our services, events, or activities, whether on-site or online, please reach out to us at (732) 632-8526 or email metuchenpubliclibrary@metuchenlibrary.org. We’re here to ensure everyone can fully enjoy their library experience.
