The saxophonist and flutist T.K. (Talib Kibwe) Blue Trio will perform music from T.K.’s recent album “Planet Bluu”. They will recognize the 99th birthday anniversary and musical contributions of T.K.’s mentor, Jazz Master pianist Dr. Randy Weston (National Endowment for the Arts, NEA), for whom T.K. was music director and arranger for many years. T.K. will also salute his friend, Benny Powell, a trombonist for years with the Count Basie Orchestra who also performed at the Cornerstone Restaurant in Metuchen years ago!

T.K. Blue will be accompanied by Matt Smythe on organ and George ColemanJr. on drums

This is a FREE concert. Registration is required at Eventbrite https://bit.ly/3REvhIU.
