Four-Hand Piano Concert: Dance Around the World
Event Details
Join us for a colorful, engaging musical journey performed by two pianists at one piano. From vibrant waltzes and Hungarian dances to lively Spanish rhythms and Latin beats, experience how cultures around the globe express movement, character, and sheer joy through music! The concert will be performed by pianists Sojung Lee and Maia Shioshivili.
Bio: Sojung Lee is a classical pianist, chamber musician, educator, and arranger of hymns and church music. She received her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts. Maia Shioshvili is a pianist, singer, and music educator with BM and MM degrees in Piano Performance from the V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory and Rutgers MGSA. She has performed contemporary music in Georgia and the U.S. at venues including Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, and Weill Recital Hall.
This is a free concert. All are welcome. Registration encouraged. This program is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Metuchen Library.
