In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, CineMusic presents The Devil and Daniel Johnston (2005, PG-13, 1h 50m) which is a documentary film about American musician Daniel Johnston. The film won the Documentary Directing Award at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. “Daniel Johnston, manic-depressive genius singer/songwriter/artist is revealed in this portrait of madness, creativity and love.” (IMDb)
CineMusic curator, Mark A. Vasquez (@InTheGrooveMusicClub), will be hosting the evening screening and will be giving away a vinyl record (courtesy of @RevillaGrooves). Arrive a few minutes early to the evening screening to hear introductory remarks and to collect a ticket for the giveaway, as the screening will begin promptly at 6:30PM.
