Tote Bags & Pelvic Health: Everyday Habits That Matter
Event Details
Pelvic health isn’t just about exercise—it’s about how your body functions during everyday life. In this engaging, real-life-focused session, Dr. Aparna Kamulkar, a local pelvic health specialist, explains what your pelvic floor is actually doing during common activities like walking, standing, lifting, and responding to bladder and bowel urges, and offers tips for healthy maintenance.
Using a familiar setting as an example — a trip to the farmer’s market — you’ll see how simple habits, like how you carry your bags or hold your breath, can either support your body or work against it — and learn why food choices (organic, local, minimally processed) are considered one of the four pillars of pelvic health. This is an eye-opening introduction to pelvic health, which affects people of all ages and sexes — covering things you’re probably experiencing every day but may have never thought about before.
Presented in conjunction with the Metuchen Farmers Market.
Registration is encouraged.
