Join longtime Metuchen resident Peter Fairclough for an inside look at the sprawling 784-acre Peter J. Barnes III Wildlife Preserve, spanning Metuchen, Edison, and South Plainfield. This presentation will cover 3 main topics: Environmental Cleanup, Preserve Management, and Community Action Project. Whether you are a nature enthusiast or a curious neighbor, this presentation will give you a fresh perspective on our local ecosystem!

Peter Fairclough is a member of the Barnes Commission, which is charged with stewardship of the Preserve. For the last 10 years, he has worked on projects in the Preserve with the Metuchen Environmental Commission, the Edison Greenways Group and other members of the Barnes Preserve. More recently, he has spent hundreds of hours studying issues in the Preserve as part of his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science.
