The Gallery at the Metuchen Public Library welcomes "Becoming Place" by artist Hadieh Afshani.

“There are memories that I don’t remember, I dream about them.”

Award-winning artist Hadieh Afshani was born and raised in Iran and spent nearly a decade in Australia before moving to New York City. Hadieh’s work largely depicts two main topics; women/gender issues and her obsession/connection to land and architectural places. Hadieh studied art in both Tehran and Australia and currently works as a Visual Art and Graphic Design professor at Union County College in New Jersey.

The exhibit will remain on display from January 7 to March 1, 2023. Artist's Reception will be held Sunday, January 15 from 2-4pm.
