A Reading & Talk with Mary Ann McGuigan
Event Details
Join us for A Reading & Talk with Mary Ann McGuigan, a long-time resident of Metuchen, NJ. Following our in-person conversation, she’ll be signing copies of her new short-story collection, That Very Place (2025), at the Metuchen Public Library.
In That Very Place, the familiar is laced with something unruly, where people are bound by unbreakable connections: an unwanted child, an unloving parent, or the haunting echoes of what could have been. They must face the damage they’ve done, the pain they’ve carried, and the choices left to them. What awaits may be outcomes they never expected.
Bio: Mary Ann’s stories have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and published widely in literary journals, including The Sun, The Rumpus, Brevity, and SmokeLong. She’s the author of four young-adult novels and was a finalist for the National Book Award.
Registration encouraged. Signed books will be available for purchase by cash, check or Venmo.
